Chingaza

The paramos are intertropical alpine ecosystems that are only found in the northern part of the Andes mountain range in Latin America. They are key and strategic natural infrastructures due to the role they play in regulating the region's water supply.

Its predominant ecosystems, the high Andean and sub-Andean forests and moors, are a refuge for majestic remnants of fauna and flora.
